We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team at Plymouth Industries. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our production processes, creative product design, and enhancing overall efficiency. You will work in a collaborative environment and have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our manufacturing operations.

Job Duties:
•Creative product designs utilizing cost-saving solutions to customer problems.
•Create product models using CAD.
•Present designs and concepts to customers and project managers.
•Coordinate and validate product designs match internal manufacturing capabilities.
•Create and maintain documentation including Bill of Materials (BOM), part drawings, assembly drawings, schematics, and job routings.
•Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and automation solutions.
•Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions, process documents, and production schedules.
•Provide technical support to production teams and troubleshoot issues that arise during manufacturing.
•Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment to support production requirements.
•Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Requirements:
•Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.
•Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
•Proven skills as a key contributor for concept and design development.
•Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
•Experience with production and manufacturing equipment and machinery.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Strong project management and organizational skills.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Education:
•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

•5 years of relevant work experience.
•Experience with CNC machining, Laser Cutting, 3D printing, or other relevant manufacturing technologies is a plus.
•APQP/PPAP Quality experience is a plus.
•Cost reduction experience is a plus.
